The Right Bearing Support for Your Powered Equipment
Centrifugal clutches in powered mobile equipment are open during idling and form a connection to the engine at higher speeds. The bearing in the centrifugal clutch therefore rotates almost load-free during idling. When the clutch is closed, the bearing is stationary and it simultaneously transmits loads – a situation, which in combination with vibration frequently leads to signs of wear on the raceways.
For this application, Schaeffler offers a range of freely configurable needle roller and cage assemblies, which prevent precisely this effect and are therefore ideally suited. These can be offered with a plastic or sheet metal cage, single-piece, slotted or split cage design or modified rolling elements depending on the application.
